Livermore, CA — Concannon Winery

Is one of the founding wineries for the Livermore Valley and to wine drinkers this means experience. Many generations have put countless hours into perfecting their signature wines, like the Petite Sirah, which is also my favorite.

The tasting room at Concannon has received a recent makeover as of 2009. There are a few handicapped parking spaces right out front, which is a good thing because they are one of the most famous wineries for the region, so more is good.  When I visited last in November 2009, the inside of the tasting room was still being put together. In other words, everything was not on the shelf At the time, there was no accessible bar, instead it was only at the height for those who could stand. I would hope something would be coming soon, but I have learned to not hold my breath.
