Bodega Bay Lodge & Spa in Bodega Bay, California is a wheelchair friendly place to rest your head and managed by a courteous and professional staff. Every evening the hotel hosts a wine and cheese H’ors D’oeuvres hour from 5-6pm in the lobby. Pathways around the hotels make it easy to get around, including one down to the pool and up to the spa. The main entrance to the restaurant is not accessible but signs direct one to an ADA back door with a power button. However, room service is available and costs the same as dining in.

There are different 5 handicapped rooms but only the Ocean Club Suite called the Snow Egret #705 has a roll-in shower. Since this is the only room available with such accommodations, the rate is the same as their standard rooms., which bonus upgrade. The suite is very spacious with lots of room to maneuver and the view of the bay from your own private patio is spectacular. The king-size bed is very comfortable and warm. This suite also has a fireplace where guests get two logs per day to burn, cozy!

The bathroom is exceptionally large and includes a Jacuzzi and two vanity sinks, one of them being a roll-up sink. More importantly, there is a roll-in shower and a plastic shower available if you call guest services.
