Not far from Death Valley National Park, on the boarder of Nevada, is the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge where visitors traveling to the area can find three wheelchair accessible hiking trails. The most popular of these trails is the Crystal Spring Boardwalk located just behind the Ash Meadows Visitor Center, but prepare to explore all three trails as each is uniquely beautiful. This video shares all about wheelchair access at the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge.

The Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is an oasis filled with pools of crystal clear spring water. The accessible hiking trails alone are worth the visit, and be sure to stop at the visitor center to learn more about landscape and the original people who lived here. Besides the trails, travelers will find access to spacious bathrooms and parking. A couple of partially-shaded picnic areas with wheelchair friendly tables are also in the park. Some overlooks include viewing binoculars, and one has been lowered and modified for accommodate people with wheelchairs.
