A little more than a hour from seaside town of Mendocino, California is the Hendy Woods State Park. This a gorgeous park set under a grove of redwoods. A day-use fee is required to enter the park to hike the trails, unless you have a reservation to stay overnight at the accessible campsite or cabin. The Gentle Giants All Access Trail is where to start, and from there a couple of side trails expand further into the woods, some of which are wheelchair accessible.
