Travel Vietnam: What to see and experience?

Vietnam can be split into three regions: the north, the center, and the south. North Vietnam hosts the capital Hanoi, a metropolis halfway between the traditional way of living and modern lifestyle. The old town of Hanoi is great for sightseeing, shopping, and enjoying the Vietnamese lifestyle. What we particularly like in Hanoi are the little secret places away from the tourist traffic! An excursion to Halong is also a must! Cruise on the Halong Bay or explore the dry land in Halong. They both will amaze you with the spectacular landscapes of endless karst mountains.

Central Vietnam is home to the traditions. Hoi An is a fantastic place to explore but it is also the most wheelchair friendly town in Vietnam. The old town is a UNESCO-preserved site with pedestrian streets. Depending on the season, it will also be the perfect spot for beach days. Hue is also in central Vietnam and is the former imperial city with a beautiful citadel.

Life in South Vietnam is ruled by the great river: the Mekong!  Ho Chi Minh City is the official name of the southern economic (and nightlife!) capital but everybody still calls it “Saigon.” A trip to the Mekong Delta is a must!
