Red Hill Desert Garden, Utah Guide

The trail surface is smoothly paved and wide enough for multiple wheelchairs. Some areas have a tiny incline if pushing in a manual wheelchair, but likely unnoticeable if in a power wheelchair. There is very little shade at the garden. If heat is a concern, plan to visit the Red Hills Desert Garden in the early morning or evening, or if possible, carry an umbrella for shade, and don’t forget water.

The most impressive feature at the Red Hills Desert Garden are the red rocks, and there’s an entire section highlighting just their beauty alone. A lovely creek also runs throughout the garden. Most of the garden features a variety of desert plants and flowers surrounded by red rocks with information displayed nearby. Some side trails may be partially accessible by wheelchair, while others are clearly not. At one point the paved trail splits, leading to more garden and then stairs, or continuing on the perimeter towards the entrance/exit.

Other Accessible Features
At the entrance/exit is a wheelchair accessible drinking fountain with two wheelchair friendly toilets around the corner. A paved path leads to the parking lot, where there are two van accessible parking spots on smooth asphalt.

Admission is free and hours are 6am to 10pm daily. Dogs allowed on leash (please be respectful and clean up after them).
