  • I have stayed at the Century Plaza Hotel on Burrard St. in downtown Vancouver a couple times. Their accessible rooms are very large with lots of windows, a refrig and microwave, a huge roll in shower, grab bars, etc. The rest of the bathroom is a bit small; it's a little hard to get on the toilet from a wheelchair, but if you lateral transfer it will be easier. The main problem for me, besides the toilet, is the incredibly uncomfortable queen bed. On my last visit, the maid told me they were going to refurbish the rooms, so hopefully new mattresses will be in order. Rates can be high -- comparable with the Sheraton across the street -- but they also have excellent specials, so be sure to call the hotel directly to book.

Your squares are too light and is very hard to put your info in them.

I want to print out this page but I can't Why ????

    • Fay: Do you just want to print out this page or are you having trouble reading the screen?

  • I wish there was a list of accessible hotels that had open framed beds so we can use a Hoyrr lift and not have to do a manual transfer

    • Any chance that there is new information about the open bed frames for lift access?

  • Are there any hotels that have tracks on the ceiling for a lift or that have manual lifts available?

  • Pinnacle harborfront is also very accessible and the staff is superb! Highly recommend for a stay 8n Vancouver. Downtown, close to the cruise harbor and within walking distance of many downtown features.

  • Vancouver Howe Street does not have wheel-in showers.
