Windemere Park in Cumming, Georgia is a good park, but I feel they could’ve made the path better for the trail. The main reason people come to Windemere Park is to play community soccer and also to exercise walking or running. Still, if you use a wheelchair and looking for access, here’s some tips about this park.

  • You can see in pictures there is good accessible parking right at the front.
  • There is quite a bit of space that’s paved as far as a trail. But it’s all out in the sun.
  • Once you cross the bridge you can go to the more rule trail which is all rock. The rock is very inconsistent and I would be worried that somebody would get stuck in it because there are thick spots. You can cross the bridge and look at the river though which is quite pretty. But the actual loop of the trail would just be too dangerous of getting stuck in the rock.
  • Really nice playground. Really nice large and small dog park towards the very back. There is no path to that so you would have to go over the grass.
  • The bathroom they have is accessible but you have to travel quite a distance to get to it.
