I remember the first time my mom and dad took us to Disneyland. I was five. I also remember my dad having to carry me on all of the rides and even throughout some of the lengthy lines. Even thought I was five, it was still a bit painful for him, at the end of the day. So much has changed since then and while not every single ride in the resort is one hundred percent accessible, there is so much to do for guest with disabilities – specifically wheelchair users.
Since 2002 (when I was hired in as a performer for the “Aladdin Show”), there has been multiple change for guests with disabilities in order to make their stay at the Disneyland Resort as memorable, exciting and special as another guest.
At the start of your day, please go to City Hall on Main Street or Guest Relations in California Adventure and request an accessibility pass.
Restrooms at the Disneyland Resort are all equipped with accessible stalls. Family Restrooms are locate at the First Aid Station on Main Street USA, across from the Carnation Plaza. Also at the First Aid Station, there are cots should you need to stretch from your wheelchair. There are accessible restrooms in California Adventure Land on the first aid on Buena Vista Street near the entrance.
Parking structures are well equipped with accessible parking spots and all shuttles from the parking lot to the theme parks are wheelchair accessible.
There is so much to do and see at the Disneyland Resort for everyone!

New changes for Disneyland. In September 2013, Disney states that it’s ending its program that allows the disabled to cut in lines. Read more here: http://www.dailyfinance.com/2013/10/03/disney-dissing-disabled-solve-abuse-problem/#!slide=980279?a_dgi=aolshare_email
Is Disneyland really that wheelchair accessible? If you take a look at the below guide, very few rides allow you to stay in your wheelchair. Forget about the thrill rides, like Splash Mountain and even Pirates of the Caribbean. Here are your options if you have to stay in your chair and you don’t have someone to lift you in and out of rides all day long.

I need to know for sure if I can have a scooter rental or I can’t go. So is there any way to pay in advance for securing a chair.
