The motel is nestled in between the beach and river and offers one and two-bedroom apartment-style units. Five ground floor units are accessible and boast one bedroom with two single beds with a lift system, an accessible washroom with a lift system with either a shower/tub combination (3 units), or an accessible roll-in shower (2 units). They can accommodate 1-4 people depending on preferences and needs.
There are also two-bedroom units for larger groups that have a full kitchen for cooking and can accommodate up to 6 people depending on needs. All of the units have either a full kitchen or kitchenette with a microwave and bar fridge as well as an electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, utensils, and linens. The living room areas have a dining table and chairs, flat-screen TV, and a pull-out sofa.
The motel has even more to offer with its air-conditioned units, BBQ patio area, fire pit, and rental equipment such as fishing rods and snowshoes. The motel has even purchased two new all-terrain wheelchairs for guests to sign out if needed. These wheelchairs are designed to get through grass, gravel, rocks and and water so that users in wheelchairs can now enjoy the beach just like everyone else. This easy-to-steer design boasts features such as a reclining back position, comfortable seat, footrest, storage, a large beach umbrella, and a safety belt.
Oasis by the Bay has teamed up with some local businesses in the Georgian Triangle to offer unique vacation opportunities for visitors to the Resort. Guests can enjoy many activities such as a multi-passenger pedal bus tour, sunset boat cruise, zoo tour, or fishing excursions. Although the programs are offered with particular attention to accessibility, specialized amenities, and affordability, they are fun for everyone. Many of the excursions even include ‘little extras’, catered meals, and evening bonfires back at the resort’s signature fire pit area.
Looking to rent a few units including one for my wheelchair bound sister with advanced multiple sclerosis. Do you have suggestions in the southern or eastern Ontario at the end of the summer,2019.
Thanks,
