Al Porto Ristorante (Italian) – This restaurant is wheelchair accessible via the elevator through the Water Street entrance; wheelchair accessible bathrooms inside. Located in the Gastown District.
Cardero’s (Seafood) – Take the Seawall at Harbour Green Park to reach restaurant right overlooking Coral Harbour. There is a nice large outdoor patio and inside seating as well.
Chambar (Pacific Northwest) – Fully wheelchair accessible including the washrooms. When making reservations, it is best to specify wheelchair accessibility as some tables have easier access than others. Only open for dinner.
Cork & Fine Restaurant (Pacific Northwest) – Located on the ground floor in the Gastown District, Cork & Fin is wheelchair accessible but only on the ground floor (there is a 2nd floor). The handicapped restroom is on the ground floor and is a single unit restroom.
Fish House (Seafood) – Located on the very edge of the lovely Stanley Park near the tennis courts. There is a lift-elevator that takes you up to the dining room where you have the option of being outside on the patio or inside. Inside, the large windows have a pleasing view of the park. To operate the lift-elevator one must call 604.681.7275 or have someone else in your party inquire at the front desk, which is up stairs.
Five Sails Restaurant (Pacific Northwest) – Located in the Pan Pacific Hotel. The views are as award-winning as the fine-dining cuisine. The menu is always seasonal and is created with local ingredients.
Food Trucks – An array of food trucks can found all over the Vancouver downtown area, each with it’s own set of diehard fans. You may have to wait in line a bit but for the price and quality, the food is well worth it. Food trucks are particularly popular with the weekday workers. The link provided lists the different food trucks and where to find them.
Floata Seafood Restaurant – Is a delicious Dim Sum-style restaurant located in Chinatown right across from the Dr. Sun Yat Sen’s Chinese Garden in the marketplace with the clocktower. There is an accessible entrance and then take the elevator to the 3rd floor. An accessible handicapped stall is available on this floor as well.
Gotham Steakhouse – This restaurant is wheelchair friendly for all types of chairs. Although the restrooms are downstairs, there is an elevator to service all 3 floors. It is a steakhouse, serving only prime Alberta beef but there are seafood and poultry options as well.
Joey Burrard – Come here for tasty casual dining in a hip, modern atmosphere. The restaurant has a large drink selection, so whether it’s wine or a cocktail, you will have plenty to choose from. If you enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches then for a first-timer, it’s highly recommended you try the lobster grilled cheese.
Miku – (Japanese) The bathroom is a large, single occupancy with locking door. The men’s is slightly bigger than the woman’s and has grab-bars (the woman’s does not). A wheelchair user can use whichever works for his or her needs.
Minami (Japanese) is also fully wheelchair accessible. There are three wheelchair accessible bathrooms in the main dining area, one in the women’s, one in the men’s and one in a single occupancy bathroom. All of which have grab bars. There is also a single occupancy wheelchair accessible bathroom with a grab bar in our private dining area.
Nuba (Lebanese) – Has a few locations for its café, including on the ground floor of the Waldorf Hotel. There is great wheelchair access from two entrance ways with lots of space and seating and large washrooms.
ORU (Pacific Northwest) – Located at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel on the 2nd floor. This is a fine dining experience, featuring seafood, poultry, beef and vegetarian options.
Salt – Is a wine bar that also serves food to compliment the wine. The front door does have two steps but there is a side door which is located right beside the main door which is wheelchair accessible. There is a restroom located on the main floor that is quite large.
Sanafir (Indian) – Is wheelchair accessible only on the lower level. The 2nd floor is not but there is a lower level bathroom to accommodate your needs.
Teahouse – It is located in Stanley Park and is a casual dining atmosphere. It even offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The restaurant can be accessed via the ramp and you have the option of dining inside or outside on the patio. On one side of the restroom a handicapped stall is available and on the other a single unit restroom is another option.
The Coast (Seafood) – The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with a handicapped bathroom restroom as a one room, uni-sex unit.
The Mill Marine Bistro – This is a European style waterfront bistro and neighborhood pub. A casual dining option with a great view of Coral Harbour. The patio is the most popular seating area but there is indoor seating as well if the weather is not great. There is no restroom but there is a public one literally right next to it that has a wheelchair accessible stall.
West Restaurant – The West Restaurant is wheelchair accessible, including the restrooms. Rick Hansen is one of the restaurant’s best regulars.
