The Inn at Shasta Lake is a contemporary, luxury bed and breakfast near Shasta Lake in the Trinity Forest of Northern California. Tucked on a hill among trees, this beautiful b&b is on a private property, an ideal location to really enjoy a get-a-way. Service is exceptional and so is the complimentary breakfast options. A small, seasonal garden is open to guests along with a patio, outdoor seating areas, indoor breakfast space, and lounge.

Main Office: When checking in, guests will find a few steps into the main office, but a call button is placed at the bottom of the stairs, which rings to the front desk. I was greeted promptly with friendly and attentive service explaining the ins and outs of the property.

Room Details for Blacktail Deer

The one ground floor room in the main building, named “Blacktail Deer” has been modified for wheelchair access. A designated handicapped parking spot is located just outside. A couple of other rooms are located on the upper level.

Upon entry, a small living area is seen with couch facing a television and fireplace in the corner. The fireplace turns on with a switch on the wall and really keeps the place warm. A small table is near kitchen sink, which is roll-up, and includes storage space as well as a mini refrigerator (no freezer) and microwave. Utensils or flatware are not provided in the room but are given with breakfast and collected afterwards.

The bedroom has a full-sized bed and an open aisle on each side of the bed. Power outlets are available in the bedroom as well as the living room area. The bathroom has been modified with grab-bars around the toilet and shower. A roll-under sink is next to the roll-in shower with hand-held shower nozzle. No official shower bench was provided, so I suggested getting plastic patio chair with arms at the very least, which is now available to future guests.
